Usually, I'm pretty happy with where I'm at in time but every now and then something just smacks me in the face and makes me realize how much time has really passed.
Perfect example - while surfing LJ today I was struck with a statement regarding the Spice Girls:
"they were a big part of my awkward early teen years"
I'm not saying my early teen year influences were any better (can we say hair bands and Dance Party USA?) but it just blew my mind. Does not compute.
